Stamped concrete services in Vallejo CA - a pattern that fits how you use it
Tired of a plain gray patio or walkway? We pour, color and stamp a new slab, then seal it so the pattern holds up.

Is stamped concrete a good fit for my patio, walkway or driveway?
Our stamped concrete services in Vallejo, CA give you a new slab that's colored, pressed with rubber mats while it's still soft so it looks like stone, brick, wood or tile, and then sealed to protect the color.
Most people call us when a plain gray patio, walkway or driveway looks worn and they want something that reads like stone or brick, on a slab that stays put. The price moves with the size of the area, whether an old slab has to come out first, how much digging the base needs and how busy the design is, because each extra color, border or inlay adds labor. The schedule turns on the tear-out, the wait for the concrete to cure before sealing and whether the city needs to review the job, so we check with the city's building office before we start. I'll walk the area with you, explain what I see and put your own figure in writing.
How we build stamped concrete, from the dirt up
It starts with the walk-through, where I ask how the area gets used, because the pattern and color you pick decide how much upkeep you're signing up for, and a busy driveway needs a different choice than a quiet back patio. Under the pattern it's still a slab, so our crew digs out and packs the subgrade, the ground the slab sits on, just as carefully as we would for plain concrete, the same way a fence post only holds if the hole was tamped right. We set the forms so water runs away from your house, lay rebar, the steel inside that holds the slab together, and pour early in the day so the finishing isn't rushed. While the surface is still soft we add the color and press the mats in, then cut control joints, shallow grooves that give the concrete a planned place to crack, because concrete does crack and I'd rather tell you that now and show you how we control it. After curing, the wait while the concrete hardens, we wash the surface and put down the sealer, and I walk you through how to look after it.
Stamped work usually sits next to plain concrete. If your new patio connects to the front door or side yard, concrete sidewalk building can be part of the same plan so the walk and the patio meet level. When a stamped driveway runs up to a cracked or sinking garage, we can look at garage floor concrete in the same estimate so the two slabs line up at the door.
Why Vallejo homeowners call Precision Vallejo Concrete for stamped work
The owner walks every job
I come out to look at every job myself, write up the estimate and stay on site running our crew while the work gets done. The person who talked through your pattern with you is the one watching it get stamped.
A base built for clay soil
About half of Solano County's soil is expansive clay, the kind that swells and shrinks, and a slab on loose dirt moves right along with it. That's why the digging and packing get more of our time than the stamping does.
Licensed and insured in California
We're licensed and insured for concrete work, which the state licensing board describes as forming, pouring, finishing and installing flatwork, the flat concrete like patios and walks, along with pavement. The board also says a home improvement down payment can be no more than $1,000 or 10 percent of the contract, whichever is less, so you'll know a fair first payment when you see one.
In business since 2017
I started this business in 2017 after years on concrete crews around the Bay Area, and most of our calls still come from homeowners. That time taught me to explain each step before the pour, because the questions you ask now save surprises later.
When you request an estimate or call (707) 310-8309, have the rough size, whether it's a patio, walkway or driveway, and the pattern and color you like, and we'll start from there. Your satisfaction, guaranteed.

What to know before stamped concrete goes in
How much does stamped concrete cost per square foot in Vallejo?
Stamped concrete in San Francisco usually costs about $14 to $34 per square foot, and that's a San Francisco market figure, not our price. Where your job lands depends on the size, the tear-out, the base work and how detailed the design is. Your own figure comes from the free estimate, once I've seen the site.
Which color method is best for a stamped concrete driveway?
Most driveways get a color hardener, because it gives a harder surface that stands up to traffic. Its color lives in the top layer, so deep damage shows gray underneath, and it has to go on evenly or it comes out blotchy. Integral color runs through the whole slab, so chips and saw cuts match, but it won't give you the deepest or brightest tones.
How do I choose a stamped concrete pattern that's easy to keep up?
Pick a single pattern in one color if low upkeep matters most, because basic designs are easier to maintain and cost less. Intricate patterns, several colors, borders and custom inlays cost more and need frequent maintenance to keep their look. That figure comes from San Francisco sources, and it holds just as well for a patio here.
How often does stamped concrete need to be resealed?
Stamped concrete should be resealed every two to three years, so count that repeat job as part of the cost when you compare designs. Sealer goes on best in two thin, even coats, because one heavy flood coat can bubble and blush white.
How long does a building permit review take in Vallejo?
The City of Vallejo reviews many simple projects at the counter during your visit, while others can take up to three weeks. We check with the city before we start, and when your job needs a permit, we can take care of the paperwork and plan our work around the city's inspections.
How long does stamped concrete need to cure before sealing?
One color hardener maker's fact sheet says stamped concrete should cure for 72 hours or more before it's washed and sealed. We follow the maker's instructions for the color and sealer on your job, so the sealing day is set by the concrete, not the calendar.
Other concrete work that pairs with stamped
- Concrete sidewalk building
A cracked or heaved walk leading up to a new stamped patio stands out, and a fresh plain sidewalk with clean joints ties the two together.
- Garage floor concrete
If your stamped driveway ends at a garage floor that's cracked, chipping or sinking, replacing that slab too keeps the two surfaces meeting cleanly at the door.
