  • Stamped concrete driveway leading to a stone-and-siding house with a flagpole and landscaped garden.

    Concrete driveway building

We dig out the soil, pack a firm base and pour a new concrete driveway sized for the cars, trucks and turns your household makes every day.

  • A gray square-paver patio beside a house has wood-framed outdoor seating with white cushions and potted plants.

    Concrete patio construction

A new concrete patio gives you a flat, easy-to-sweep place to sit, grill or set up a table, poured with a slight fall so rain runs away from the house.

  • Stamped concrete patio with a stone-like pattern curves beneath a covered outdoor kitchen and seating area.

    Stamped concrete services

Stamped concrete is pressed with patterns and colored while it's still soft, so a patio, walkway or driveway can look like stone, brick or slate while staying one solid slab.

  • Smooth concrete driveway and curved sidewalk border a large brick house, garage, and trimmed shrubs.

    Concrete sidewalk building

We lay out and pour concrete sidewalks and walkways that connect your door, driveway and yard, with a broom finish, a light brushed texture that helps feet grip.

  • A curved reddish-brown stamped concrete patio extends from a house, with a block-pattern surface and lawn beyond.

    Garage floor concrete

When a garage floor is cracked, sunken or chipping, we break it out and pour a new slab thick enough for your cars, tools and workbench.

  • A rectangular swimming pool is surrounded by mottled decorative concrete decking, patterned rugs, orange chairs, and a basketball hoop.

    Decorative concrete

Decorative concrete covers color, exposed pebble, scored patterns and special finishes, for homeowners and businesses who want the strength of a slab with a look that suits the property.

  • A stamped concrete patio with an irregular stone pattern is enclosed by a low block wall and furnished with three chairs.

    Concrete retaining walls

We build concrete retaining walls that hold back a slope, level out a yard or make room for a driveway, with drainage behind them so water doesn't push them over.

  • A light gray concrete pool deck surrounds a blue swimming pool and a raised stone-clad spa.

    Concrete floor installation

Our crew pours concrete floors for basements, shops, sheds and commercial spaces, troweled smooth and flat so you can roll carts, set shelving or put flooring down on top.

  • Concrete pool deck surrounds a rectangular swimming pool beside a modern house at sunset.

    Concrete pool decks

A concrete pool deck has to shed water and keep wet feet steady, so we slope it away from the pool and give it a textured finish.

  • Concrete steps lead through a landscaped front yard to a two-story brick-and-siding home, with stone retaining walls and a broad driveway.

    Concrete steps construction

Front doors, patios and sloped yards get concrete steps formed and poured by our crew, with every step the same height so they're easy to climb.

  • A curved stamped-concrete patio with a gray stone pattern and dark raised border sits beside a house and wooden pergola.

    Slab foundation building

We build slab foundations for new homes, additions, garages and outbuildings on a packed subgrade, the ground a slab sits on, tied with rebar, steel that keeps cracks tight.

  • A terracotta-colored stamped-concrete patio has large square sections with textured surfaces and dark diagonal joints.

    Foundation installation

Houses, additions and commercial buildings get a complete foundation from us, including the digging, footings, forms, walls and pour, so the structure above starts on solid, square ground.

  • A tan stamped-concrete walkway leads through mulched garden beds to a house porch with red chairs and a bright red door.

    Concrete parking lot building

Businesses, churches and apartment owners call us for concrete parking lots built on a deep, packed base and sloped so rainwater drains off instead of pooling where people park.

  • A rounded stamped-concrete patio with a pale irregular stone pattern borders a lawn, with a black metal chair at its edge.

    Concrete footings

Footings are the concrete pads and strips that carry a deck, wall, porch or addition, and we dig them to the depth your plans call for.

  • A broad gray stamped-concrete patio with large irregular stone-shaped sections extends beside a low wall and desert landscaping.

    Foundation raising

When part of your house or slab has settled and you're seeing sticking doors, sloped floors or new cracks, we lift it back toward level and give it firmer support.

  • Stamped concrete patio with a curved stone retaining wall beside a house and landscaped lawn.

    Concrete cutting

If you need a trench for a pipe, a new opening or part of an old slab removed, we saw-cut the concrete straight and clean so the rest stays intact.

Why Vallejo homeowners call us

  • You'll understand the plan first

I walk the job with you and explain what each step is for, so you know how your project will be built before we start.

  • The estimator runs the crew

I look at every job and write the estimate, then I'm on site running our crew, so nothing gets lost before the pour.

  • Estimates you can compare

Digging, hauling, base work and sealing each get their own line, so you can hold our estimate up against anyone else's.

  • Straight talk about cracks

Concrete can crack, and I tell you that up front and show you how we control it, so a hairline crack later isn't a shock.

  • Time spent on the base

We dig out and pack the ground under your slab instead of raking it level, because that hidden work decides whether it settles later.

  • Local to Solano and Contra Costa

We're based in Vallejo and work the cities around it in both counties, so getting out to see your job is easy.

Your concrete questions answered

How much does a new concrete driveway cost in Vallejo?

It depends on the size, the shape of the ground and the finish, so the honest number comes from a look at your site. Tearing out an old slab, hauling it away, digging out soft soil and adding color or stamping all raise the price, and I list each one on a free written estimate. The driveway page has more on what goes into it.

Why are concrete estimates so different from one contractor to the next?

Usually because they don't include the same work, especially the digging and packing under the slab. Base work is hidden on day one, so it's the first thing a low bid cuts, and it's what decides whether the slab settles. If I had to choose, I'd spend on the base before the finish every time.

How long until I can use my driveway or patio after the pour?

You can usually walk on new concrete well before you can drive on it, because it keeps gaining strength for days while it cures. Heavy cars and trucks wait the longest. I'll give you the wait for your own slab, since it depends on the mix and the thickness.

Is Precision Vallejo Concrete licensed and insured?

Yes, we're licensed and insured. That protects you if something goes wrong on your property during the work, and you're welcome to ask about our coverage when I come out for the estimate.

Do you tear out and haul away old concrete before pouring new?

Yes, when a job calls for it we break out the old concrete, haul it off and dig down to firm ground before we build the new base. Leaving cracked concrete or soft dirt underneath is one of the main reasons new slabs sink, and the removal shows up as its own line on your estimate.

Do you guarantee your concrete work?

Yes, our promise is your satisfaction, guaranteed. What I won't do is tell you a slab will never crack, because concrete moves, and I'd rather be straight with you than promise something nobody can.

Will my new concrete slab crack like my old one?

It may get hairline cracks, since most concrete does, but it shouldn't crack and sink the way a slab poured on loose dirt does. We cut control joints, shallow grooves that give cracks a planned place to form, early enough to do their job, and we avoid pouring in the midday heat that leaves a weak, dusty top.

Do I need a permit for concrete work in Vallejo?

That depends on the job, and the place to ask is the City of Vallejo, whose Central Permit Center is the city's starting point for permit questions about work on a home. We check with the city before we start, and when your job needs a permit, we can handle the paperwork and plan our work around its inspections.

How a concrete job works with us

  1. Call or send a request

Call us at (707) 310-8309 or use the request form to tell us a little about the job and where it is. We get back to every call and request within one business day, and we'll find a time that suits you for me to come out and see the site.

  2. Walk the site together

I come out myself, look at the ground, where the water runs and how we'll get equipment in, and I listen to what you want. I walk you through how I'd build it and why, then you get a free written estimate that spells out each part, with no pressure and no obligation.

  3. Prep, form and pour

Once you say go, we check the permit steps with your city, then dig out and pack the base, set the forms and pour. We plan the curing time into the schedule, so the concrete gets the wait it needs before anyone walks or drives on it.

  4. Walk-through and care

Before we leave, I walk the finished concrete with you and show you how to look after it, from when it's ready for feet and cars to keeping it clean and when to seal it. You'll know what you paid for and how to make it last.
